I was recently introduced to a band called Galneryus. Japanese power metal, with all the requisite cheese and fiddly bits on all the instruments. Amazingly enough, I like them. First Japanese metal band I've ever found that I liked. It's no Rhapsody of Fire, but it's enjoyable.
