Is it not wonderful that there is something that unites all true sports fans? I had trouble explaining to some people that in Philly we consider it a good season if we seep the Cowboys, a great one if we also sweep the Giants, but beating the latter pales when weighed against Dallas.
BTW, my son, Norm, his eldest and I had the sad misfortune of being at the Skins game, arguably the worst professional football game I have ever attended. Washington fans are overall, a nice class of people (wine and cheese, as my cousin puts it, whose seats at the 45 yard line we used), with the guy behind us and me both hoping the Eagles fell short at the end to save us from overtime, which would be like poking a stick into a wound.
