        We celebrated the Holiday in the traditional boring Spiegel manner we had a nice dinner with two other couples, my son and two of his friends, and later watched The Darwin Awards (check out

) and watched Bill Turner set off some fireworks (that last will occur in 44 minutes).

        I watched my DvD box set of "The Victor Borge Show" w/ my apparment mates, and friends.. over several nice bottles of bubbly... then we watched the ball drop.. lamented Dick Clark's absence and then went back to the dvd's
