Earth-sized planets more common?

Not sure if I should dump the entire article here, but here is one really salient point that I couldn't leave alone.

Some astronomers believe there may be hundreds of small rocky bodies in the outer edges of our own Solar System, and perhaps even a handful of frozen Earth-sized worlds.

If that is true, that is so freaking cool.

The expression 'handful' is really wasted by whoever said that. I mean, how could that possibly help to express the numbers hes talking about when you cant even fit one earth-sized celestial object in your hand.

Made me laugh.

But, but, I've got the whole wide world in my hands!

At least he didn't say there are "hundreds and hundreds." That style of telling numbers is taken.
