Awesome tents at Tentsmiths!  If you want a more contemporary tent, I'd recommend checking out Campmoor and Sierra Trading Post's catalogs/websites; they both carry good quality tents, and STP has good buys as well.  Also, Eureka tents (in Eureka NY) has a "blow-out" end of season/seconds sale in late January?  We got a great 4-person, 3-season "second" tent there for almost 1/2 price and all that was wrong with it was they replaced a zipper pull and that made it a second!?  I'd tent to stay away from tents at Wally  World or K-Mart, unless it was a brand name, like Coleman.

If worse comes to worse and we are at SAC this winter, I will be tenting in the aforementioned tent with an air mattress.  With a sleeping bag  on top of the mattress, two sets of doubled flannel sheets (me between the pair) two wool blankets and the option of an afgan of concealment, I know I can handle below freezing weather.  If the temperature really plummets, there are the two deer hides - quite warm.  Room for three others.
