I am in search of people that want to play WOW at Godly levels and for sort of free...  I.e.  I set up a private server.  Once you own the game, PM me and I'll give details on how to log in and set up if you are interested.  It's a 10x experience rate, 4x drop rate, and I'm the GM.  lol

Been there, done that.

In my experience it loses it's luster pretty damned quick, though it is fun for trying different talent builds and radical specs.

I will stick to the traditional game, but thanks for the offer.

Would being involved in a private server this cause any problems with Blizzard?

potentially... but only if someone brings it to blizzard's attention... they're lazy

yea, I've wasted too much of my life on private servers already... solo'd illadin and the whole nine yards.

Actually, if you read teh TOS, you are allowed to create your own private servers, you just can't charge people to play.  Also, as long as you own a complete copy of  the game, it's ok.  Private servers are designed just for what Terry said, to test out new builds for characters and items.

I'd be up to giving it a go then.  Keep me advised as we get enough people involved to do quests and such.
