Whiz Kid and Philly Hall of Famer, Robin Roberts died yesterday at the age of 83. During the 1950s, the Phillies had two seasons above .500, yet Robbie had 6 consecutive 20 win seasons. He never missed a start during the entire decade. He had the bad timing to be pitching when somne other greats were playing for championship teams, guys like Drysdale, Koufax, Gibson, Marichel, Spahn, Sain, and Padres in the NL.
He never bitched and was liked by all.
