It depends.
Friend of mine was disgustingly ill in bed for about 2 weeks afterward.
I was walking around, fine, eating fried chicken, like... maybe 2 hours I had them pulled.

If they are impacted and full or partial boney, you wont be doing much for quite a while. They may have to be chiseled from your jaw or the jaw will need to be broken to extract them.
Your best case scenario may be a foot up by your head, pliers and burning tooth dust from a drill, saw or grinder.
Another bonus may be nerve endings wrapped around the roots which if removed improperly can paralyze your face.
