Oh, God, I saw this the other day.
They're so creepy. I think it's mostly because of that noise that it makes, though.
The part on the ice is incredible... It rights itself much more efficiently than... people.
And then this creepy buzzing on top of it...

Its ability to right itself and cover about any terrain IS uncanny - it looks alive. The lack of a "head" makes it look even creepier.
I have to admit, the first thought that came to my mind while watching it was "I wonder if I can get one to haul my stuff from parking to my cabin at Daddy Allen..."

The part that really blew me away was when the guy tried to kick it over.
It runs loudly because of the gasoline engine... batteries probably aren't efficent enough yet.
