They're $15. With a bit of foam and duct tape (or latex), or even a black stripe down the front in a pinch, they would be fine.

Lets be honest, they'd be fine without the cool additions, as long as they are comfortable and can withstand the abuse of larping. Our only requirement is furry legs, so anything beyond that is just awesome bonus. 
I, however, found these ridiculous things at the local Kohl's, in a ton of colors.
