Some people may have noticed that I rarely (if ever) eat the Saturday night Feast. I thought post my decision why I do this, so I clear the air & make sure people know it's not an attack on anyone.
Some time ago, during a KR event, I had eaten the Saturday night Feast. After the dinner, I became very ill. It was nothing serious, but the experience left me with a "bad taste" in my mouth (no pun intended). The cause was never really discovered, but it's wasn't a huge deal. After that, I promised myself I would take better care in what & how I eat.
It could be I had a sensitive stomach & I just upset it by eating too much or combining things I shouldn't have. Or maybe I didn't wash my hands before eating & made myself sick. Who knows? All I do know now is before every major meal/dinner, I properly wash my hands, clean myself up, & try to eat in a specific manner & portioning that is very low-risk.
So just to let the generous, self-sacrificing, hard-working, & wonderful people who spend all day slaving in the kitchen know... I am thankful for all your efforts & my decision on how I choose my dinner is nothing personal & I am missing out on your great handiwork.
