Now that I have everyone's attention, the Chicago Merchantile Exchange will no longer offer pork belly futures. Seems like demand, which 40 years ago varied seasonallyu, is now constant, eliminating the need for lengthly time spent in freezer warehouses.

America has now reached the point where its denizens consume pork each day, every day. I wonder if this has any correlation to our caloric intake.

Speak for yourself. There are higher calorie things then pork as well that people indulge in daily.
Now soda... I would say that has more of an impact then pork.
