Does anyone have any MP3's or likewise of Irish music, Gypsy music? (not too modern with like modern references but still can have lyrics). It's for Lumi and Seamus's wedding in May. Thanks a bunch!

I have some Irish stuff, and I will look around for more. I've never tried turning up Romani folk music before, but I'll see what I can do.

Anything by Valravn or Virelai should fit the bill. Just have to be careful with Valravn becasue they sometimes have some electronica sounds to them.

If classical works, try googling/amazoning Brahm's Hungarian dances or Haydn's gypsy dances?

I have a good amount of stuff. I'll bring my ipod. I have Irish stuff, Scottish stuff, and stuff that is medieval, but kinda has an eastern european sound to it. And most of it is lyric free, so no issues with IG/OOG.

Irish/Gaelic music... look up Celtic Woman.
Gypsy music... try Russian/Czech/Eastern European sources.
Frankly, I wanna hear Billy Idol's White Wedding for your processional theme.

Thank you all so much. If you could bring them on CD's or Ipods that'd be great. But, the only thing is getting them to play out side.
Anyone have any ideas on that? XD

That's a good question... I haz a guitar But really, is there any electricity near where it's going to be? I have a decent sized stereo that I could bring, and hide it in the woods so it doesn't ruin the atmosphere.

I would take a bet and say that non-electric instruments are really the only way to go here.

I'm responding as an RP marshal: just make sure that its genre appropriate and that none of the equipment you're using is visable to people. I love Flogging Molly more then most, but its not going to fly at the event on an Ipod.
I look forward to seeing this IG wedding :)

There are new, tiny speakers that can plug into/dock with most smartphones & MP3 players. You can hide those behind something innocuous while other PC's pretend/pantomime playing instruments. As was asked before, it really depends on where the wedding will take place, in order to plan the logistics of having music there.

It's going to be down at the gypsy caravans, and I was asking for appropriate music, and I think I found a lot of people who have it. Now it's just getting it onto something that can play.
I do have an iPhone, so I could probably upload music onto that from people.
