So, I have read an article on CNN's website (link below) that medical researchers have taken a recipe from Bald's Leechbook (one of the worlds earliest medical text books) and recreated it as faithfully as possible, including using wine from a distillery that was open during the time.
CNN
It (laboratory conditions in vito) killed something like 90% of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. That's a superbug that modern science has trouble with. So, medieval doesn't mean dark when it comes to science.
It used Garlic, Onions, and a staple go to for any recipe, cow bile.
So, any physicians goin' cow huntin'?
