Does anyone out there have any experience with Mitryl and the weapons they make? They seem like good looking weapons for a really reasonable price, and I was hoping someone might have some experience with them.

I have yet to see them at game, but the price is very reasonable. Like all weapons they'd have to be approved though on a case by case basis, especially since they have so many different blade styles.

having recently purchased one of their weapons (attached picture) and used it at game without incident i can say they are differently worth the price, now they may look like older style calimacil weapons at first glance but they use a foam that is lighter and less dense, only point of concern is that swords of a length longer than the 44 inch in length range tend to have a little bit of a whip due to the type of core they use but there ha-sent been any problems thus far with the weapon core so thankfully its a minor concern at best
hope that answers any questions or concerns that you have

Also just saying they're really really pretty.
I've handled a dagger of theirs and while there's no way the waylay tip is legal, the blade felt alright. I'm no marshal, but I've taken hits to the head with Calimacil and this wasn't as bad.
(NOTE: I volunteer to test away from game. No joke.)

I own the dagger Jolene mentioned, and actually, the weyley tip was approved, FYI.
It was REAAAAALLLY hard when I first got it in the mail, but for some reason (I have no idea how or why) it has softened up with time and no use. lol.

My Calimacil dagger, which was tested simultaneously, was only approved for parrying and the occasional strike, for comparison.

Excuse the multi-post, but I'd also like to comment that they feel really nice in the palm of your hand. Really well-crafted items, they.

On Mitryl, careful with the Tudor dagger. The cross guard just isn't meant to last. When struck, the quillons risk ripping the entire crossguard off of the weapon. I'm about to cut my quillons and just make it a straight dirk. It should be fine, then. Otherwise, still good strikeing after months of use.
