I would like the event in August sometime before 12 AM on Saturday so...
My request is would anyone be willing to have me dropped of at their house Thursday night so I can come with them to the event on Friday? I'm in Amherst, MA at the moment so anywhere between there and the camp would be great.

Best I could do is if you could get yourself to Hackensack, Jersey on Friday. I leave directly from work @ 5pm, but there's a lovely mall across the way from my office (and a much bigger one a mile up the road) if you needed to kill a few hours. PM me if that's helpful at all.
