I've been reviewing the Travancian Law and it seems there is little room in it for even a fleeting imprisonment, save for the stocks/sculling post.
As for the guardsmen, well they at least have a choice to stay under Mr. Vantas' sleeping chambers.
Seems like a strange standard for a strange kind of town,
