Chronicle Announcement

To all would-be writers and storytellers of Travance - I'm posting this to notify those interested of a staffing change within the Chronicle.

Due to Seneschal Lois Maxwell's recent promotion, she has asked me to take over as Editor-in-Chief of the Chronicle. I continue to have the editing support of Thalia Burdon, and she will also be taking control of payments for articles. columns, and artwork, starting in December. We will continue to have help from the Seneschal and Amizar as their time permits, but we ask that you send submissions to myself and Thalia as much as possible.

Lastly, I am seeking another Assistant Editor to provide additional support in an ongoing and official capacity. There will be a 6 month trial period to be certain of your dedication and reliability, wherein you will be paid as any submitter for the paper. After that point, possibilities exist for further compensation. For this, please contact me directly.

I look forward to many more issues of everyone's favorite newsletter, and it can continue smoothly with help from all of you.

Although we've yet to meet, I'll vouch for you, whether or not I am hired. Travance would certainly benefit from having you as a columnist.

I would like a chance as an assistant. What are the responsibilities? What can be done at and away from feast?

For those inquiring about writing columns, feel free to send me a private missive, if you have not done so already. You may also read Amizar's posted notice of the Chronicle's theme each month, on this same board. Feel free to send articles or column ideas to Amizar, myself, or Thalia.

As for those interested in the assistant editor position, the tasks between feasts involve reviewing and editing stories and articles submitted, and helping to determine if something seems out-of-place ((i.e. too out-of-game)). I would ask that anyone taking on this role be willing to consider assisting in the cost of printing the newsletter as well, but this can be discussed. Please send me a private missive with any interest.
