I understand that. My main attempt with my words is to steer the conversation away from the confrontational path it was following earlier. The worst thing we can do at this moment is argue among ourselves, no matter the topic.

The idea of an artificial soul created through alchemical means, setting aside theological concerns, is a fascinating one. The scientific implications and possibilities are astronomical.
Viewed either as simply the advancement of alchemical studies or considering the possible advancements in the field of medicine that could be possible from studying these practices, there is potentially much to be learned from these homunculi and their creator.
Merely creating a golem is considered to be one of the highest levels of alchemical achievements currently possible. To be able to create life, be it seen as artificial or otherwise, is nothing short of miraculous. If I may be so bold, I should suggest shelving theological arguments in favor of considering the scientific and medical advancements to be made from such a field of study.
Master Caldor, I do hope you are able to find your friends, as no man is so wealthy as to be able to afford losing a friend. I do also hope that a peaceful solution may be found with the "Father" of these Homunculi, as I believe the advancements to be potentially had are vast.
In science and progress,
Dr. Nigel Whitworth

The Theological problem, as you put it, is not religious as much as ethical. This man you want a peaceful solution with, is fully and wholly capable of killing as many people as his research requires without remorse.
He is a monster in a very literal sense. We don't make peace with monsters. More to the point, we should not. For in allowing the thought that his accomplishments may be worthwhile, we accept the blood that he has on his hands, on our own.
This is not to say we persecute the homunucli, they are blameless for their creation. They are responsible for the decisions they make since, however.

As far as Brazen is concerned...
The "Father" is a unethical madman who needs, as Donny would put it, such a kickin' he will never ever forget. As I recall, there is a certain Psion who also wants a stern word or three with him...
I will reserve discussion on the homunculi for in person talks.

The souls when removed as far as I have observed dissipate into their composite parts once separated from their shells.
Grim,
I am not sure how they raised you in the north, but where I'm from we are to treat women with respect and encourage them to have opinions even if they are contrary to our own. I would request you apologize to Ava and stop treating her like an inconvenience. She has done nothing wrong and continues to be targeted by you where there is no need. No person ever deserves to be demeaned or treated as worthless. For someone who tries to be a hero, you are acting like a bully.

Sir Cypher,
The north is much harsher, as such women are treated as equals and fight toe to toe with the men. I would put this more toward his dislike of chaos warriors in general and less as an offense towards women. Grim is obviously just scared of having a little chaos in his life.

Before more parchment is torn and tacked, may we heed Mr. Eirson's advice in halting our discussions here? He has asked those of you with anything useful to say, to write him directly.
Now, I won't--and don't have the authority to--stop any of you from continuing to write on this string, but that it may yield before devolving further, would be a boon to us all

Caldor,
I'll try to point Brutus to you if I can make contact.
Nigel,
I can try to fill you in on as much as I know about homunculli, their creation, and the function of the false soul and flesh, next I meet up with you. I'm pretty sure knowledge of the basics is fine.

Zelretch, I'm looking for one of the homonculi as well, though not Brutus, I'm looking for the one who fought somewhat similarly to myself, and required quite a bit of work to break out of the control.
Also, I'm curious about the perfect homonculus we encountered in what I assume was the past, in that alchemy lab we visited when we were going through various times. If you could contact me with information on either of those, I'd be most grateful.
