normal Need for Volunteers and Materials

16 Jun 2016 11:26 #1 by Caldor Eirson (Caldor)
Need for Volunteers and Materials was created by Caldor Eirson (Caldor)
All,

A number of people have been working at the Count's direction on an alternate trap for the nulls. We are currently preparing a ritual as the next step in finalizing the prison, and need some materials and volunteers to help us complete it. We currently plan on performing the ritual the morning of the next feast. If you can provide us with some of the needed materials, or believe you qualify for one of the positions and would like to help, please contact me.
We are only looking for Volunteers at this time, not suggestions of other people, so please do not start listing who you think might be good. We are taking more than one volunteer for each, so that we have backups.

People Needed:
A Northman, Dwarf or Ogre specifically strong in hatred of Magic
A Londwyn Atheist with neither druidic nor divine traditions.
An Andorran Priest or Pacifist
A Chaos Warrior or Decay Druid or Glomite
A Huntsman, Sentinel or Purple Sorceror
An extremely knowledgeable person
A person who is filled with or embodies life
A person who embodies deception
A person who embodies death
A person who embodies power

Materials Needed:
Witchwood
Scrolls of Revealing Light
Cold Iron
Scrolls of Decompose
Scrolls of Ruin
Rune of Chaos Blast
Scrolls of Pacify
Rune of Allsight

Thank you in advance to all who offer their help.

No Cold Iron, out of Wytchwood but the rune of Chaos Blast should be doable.

Remind me, I am a bit absent minded at times... at feast...

Billiam,

Thank you. I will put you down as options for both as we see what we need.

Edmund,

Thank you. If iI have an item made of witch wood, could it be broken down into usable components of it? I don't really get how your craft does what it does.

A "reasonable amount"? I wish I could give a more specific volume, but if you have any, I'm sure what you have between you will be enough.

Do either of you have any cold or raw iron?

Thank you both.

*Not Winks*

Iron is extremely plentiful, and any blacksmith worth their trade should have veritable piles of it sitting around their workshop waiting to be smelted into steel. I unfortunately will most likely not be around when you want to perform this procedure, however the iron should be very simple to obtain.

I have, for the majority of my life, argued that every story I have ever told is 100% true. Even the ones that didn't happen (especially those in some cases.) I have explained often that there is no such thing as objective reality. history is just the stories we decided to believe.

I wish I could assist in this process, but as previously established, literally everything I say, is true, regardless of whether or not the facts back it up. Thus I'm not sure I can do anything to help here.

Master Sterling, as you can see my understanding of metals was very poor. I appreciate the clarification..

A healer may, though life is more than just healing. If you dish to be considered I would be happy to list you.

There is no 'soul eating cage'. What dirge referred to is a cage formed in part of the essence of a volunteer. I would be happy to discuss this, but not here, where it would distract from the coordination.

No souls are to be affected by this ritual as it is planned. As with the last time, I hope to have a physician, soul Warden, Galladelian and psion to Monitor everything

I have been asked by a good friend of mine who is unable to read or write to post his thoughts here.
My good friend Thog wishes me to convey the following:
"Thog hate magic. Magic evil. Hurt Thog. Me want magic gone... Thog not want world end. Help Caldor. Save world."

To put this in slightly more intelligible terms, Thog (who is an ogre of my acquaintance) wishes to help Master Caldor in his efforts. He has the qualifications of being an ogre, hating arcane forces significantly, and being a singularly standup individual upon whom I would be willing to entrust my life to. Again.

I do hope you will consider Thog's offer. I cannot recommend him enough.

Having only met Thog briefly, I was quite taken by him as well. He helped us save a farm from husks.

Please let him know that I will put him on our list as possible volunteers, and I will let him know when and where we need him as soon as possible.

Cousin,

I may be a horrible Northman due to my desire to understand magic instead of fear it. But I do know the perfect individual to represent either Death or Decay Druidics. The current Decay Elder of the Grove, Nesterin would be ideal for either position and I will ask him right away if he consents to my nomination of him.

I specifically said please do NOT volunteer or suggest other people. I am asking for personal volunteers only.

Having said that, I am speaking with Nesterin, of course.
