WARNING: Danger stalking towards the Proper

Subjects of Travance, heed my warning. An unknown entity of some sort has been stalking and killing citizens of Kaladonia, and is believed to be moving towards the proper. At this time, we know the following:

• It has been attacking lone individuals in the woods, usually near their homes.
• It leaves behind a black substance of some sort. A sample has been collected to be turned over to a Scholar for investigation.
• It mutilates the bodies of its victims, removing all the bones and taking them, leaving the rest behind.

Do not travel alone, especially at night, but also during the day until we know more. Move in large groups, preferably with lighting and an armed escort. So far, the attacks have been on lone individuals, but given it has eluded even my best scouts so far, it is not to be underestimated.

I ask that the other Lords, Knights, and Leadership of Travance spread word to their populace, and set up patrols to guard their people. Any sightings, please coordinate with Sir Caelvan and Mistress Tari, and if or when it crosses into the Proper, with Captain Oren of the Guard.

That sounds really scary! Most animals eat the rest and leave the bones! They're doing it backwards!

There have been some unexplained disappearances within Valdalis Crossroads as well, but I cannot speculate if they are connected yet. Be aware we are investigating and will continue to do so. And Lord Gideon's advice is extremely good, I advise all subjects to take it.

I can confirm that whatever this danger is it is indeed in the proper.
I encountered a scene like you described while following up on a bounty.
It was rather grisly what I saw has not left my mind.
From what I have gathered whatever it is very strong, as the corpse I discovered was ripped apart seemingly without the aid of any weapons bones missing as you say.

Be aware. Travel quietly. Stay in groups.
