Mr. Sterling,
My name is Fenris, and I may be able to serve as a go-between my fellow Northmen prove to be rather stubborn and skeptical. I spent a good bit of time in Coasthaven where I became familiar with steam powered ships. I see the benefits to this "train" and can explain them to my comrades who are naturally more skeptical than Me. One question that needs to be answered is what to do about protecting these "train"s from the monsters that attack Travance often. If they are as large and loud as you say, they would make good targets for attack. Contact Me if you need my help. Good luck in your efforts.

I intend for this post to mean no disrespect to you Mr. Sterling or to Seneschal Maxwell, I am for this project completely and plan on aiding in it's construction in any way I can.
My only concern for when this project is complete, is ensuring no laws are being broken on them. Being able to keep the people that work on it and possibly traveling on it safe, as well as the items being transported. Will Guardsmen be posted on this train every day to ensure said things are being done?

I will not reitterate that which has been brought up before but will instead suggest that we might wish to look into expediting a rail system to Travance rather than around within Travance first. Exports and imports using the established road system perhaps along side the road system to minimize impacts and see what may come from such endeavors. Using the Kings Roads as a jumping off point. A single in and out for proof of this planned and work on something smaller within each area with the Lords individual permission.

Good ladies and gentlemen of Travance, this is simply a reminder that after a good amount of preparation, we are ready to actually commence construction of the Central Railyard and Stationhouse.
A few weeks ago, both Seneschal Maxwell and myself were able to speak to a number of people and, I hope, allayed some of your concerns about this project. Please bear in mind that this will involve ongoing research and development to make sure that it remains perfectly viable and beneficial to the land of Travance. All we are doing at this exact point in time, is building the Stationhouse to serve as a primary location of business, and the Railyard where all of the previously mentioned research and development will take place. Once these two locations are completed, we will then determine the next, best, course of action. We will appreciate any and all help that anyone can provide, and again the Barony will provide compensation for your labor.
If you are willing to help in either construction or security, please report to myself at the Railyard, or Angrin at the Stationhouse. We will gladly put you to work in whatever way is appropriate.
In Service,
William Sterling
((OOG: Here again is the link posted by the Land Marshal team about how to enter actions for the railroad project. Remember that there are two separate locations both under the Proper, the Central Railyard and Central Stationhouse; and four different actions you can use: Construction (Promote Science), Guarding the Rail (Public Order), Creating Obstacles (Cause Mayhem, PvE), and Destruction of Property (Cause Mayhem, PvP).))

I think the idea of a railroad in Travance is simply wonderful! I am new to the area, but I hope I can come out and see it, if not help out some, in the near future.

Good ladies and gentlemen of Travance, I apologize for the lateness of this posting, but I have been hard at work preparing the next set of tasks to advance the construction of the Railyard and Central Stationhouse. As of the last feast, the Railyard was already a quarter of the way complete, while the Stationhouse had barely been started. This actually is not that much of a problem, as without the Railyard and the research and development that will occur there once it is complete, there will be nothing to put in the Stationhouse anyway.
If you have not already decided how to spend the remainder of your time before the next gathering, the Barony would greatly appreciate your assistance with either construction or security at both of the work sites. Once again, you will be paid for your time. Simply report to myself at the Railyard or Angrin at the Stationhouse to receive your tasks. Thank you.

Good day ladies and gentlemen. Seeing as how we will be having extra time to work this month, I figured I would post this reminder sooner rather than later. The first stages of this project are still progressing nicely. I take responsibility for the low volume of work performed last month due to my late announcement, however work was still done, and we are right on schedule. At this time, the Railyard is a little over a quarter of the way complete, and the Stationhouse is a little over a tenth, much better progress than the month prior. I intend to take full advantage of the extra working hours to devote all of my time to the Railyard, and Angrin intends the same with the Stationhouse, with only a brief stop into the Proper in two weeks. So if you are willing to lend your assistance, please report to either of us and we will assign you a task.
As a reminder, the Barony is compensating for time spent working on this project. If you are owed, you need to see the Exchequer or Seneschal.
In service and progress,
William Sterling
