As a tangent and last resort, If we're going to be forced to work with the Ice and Fire demons, then the contract must be agreed upon and signed.
They are metaphysically bound to honor the written word to the letter. It puts us at an advantage over an agreement held only in word of mouth and trust.
I will reiterate that I do not trust the contract as-written. I wouldn't bring so much as a dry plume within line of sight of it, for fear that bewitched quill might take flight out of my hand, miraculously dip into a wet well, and fleck something passable as a signature upon its all-but-cursed parchment.
