If we softly waltzed to a lilting tune tonight
Somewhere the wind blows gently and the trees do lightly sway
Where you would calmly close your eyes as harps began to play
With every ginger step we’d take across the forest floor
This long-lived loving daydream grows so far-fetched all the more
Beginning my approach in an enamored state of mind
When I arrive, my tongue, now taciturn, does spout more tepid line
These weighted words I whisper, could I speak them all aloud
In a moment with you in earshot and my mind not full of doubt
