Well the last day will be three days before the ball itself, but please only do that if that is when you can know by.

I was planning on NPCing at the Awards Banquet, do I still need to tell you whether or not I am planning on going?

Chris, the Awards Banquet is an OOG event, there's no NPCing. I think you're thinking of the Masquerade Ball, which you didn't have to preregister for to my knowledge.
