Future Event Dates!

And april 9 is my moms birthday... double mom fail for me o_O

April 9 is 4/9.  Mother's Day is May 9 (aka 5/9).

We are lucky we didn't get Easter.  We got Mother's Day, but we've been got it last year as well, I think.  No Father's Day, Independence Day, and September event is way after school starts for most folks.

Usually when our event dates fall on holidays, its the Sunday of the event... its not like you cant leave early if you have to. Get over it!

I think we are ALL damn lucky to have a game that meets so frequently, and we can pick an choose which events we can go to, all or miss a few for whatever holiday we observe or are important to us. Back in the 80's when I started larping (there was no foam, we had stone phys reps of our weapons, and the lacerations were a badge of honor for those who paved the way...lol) events were sometimes many month's apart and holidays were missed because if you missed that event, you really missed your larp for awhile.

SO....I'll just have to tell Mom that she will have to be appreciated the week before...because the week after is an event TOO! lol

Mahoney, just tell Diane that something REALLY important came up, and you have to push the wedding back a week.  I'm sure she would be totally understanding and wouldn't murder you in your sleep.
