May 2010 Highlights

Omg, this weekend...too many to count

Let's start with a riddle: How many LARPers does it take to unlock a car?
Answer: 16. 15 to stand around and talk and one army captain with a metal longsword

Highlights:
-I'm listing locking myself outta my car as a highlight. 3 coat hangers, 6 bobby pins, a knife, a wooden stick, a metal sword, 16 LARPers and 2.5 hours later...it was pathetic on my part but epic for everyone else. Thanks guys!
-Bar shifts were fun. I love getting tips and service points
-Gaylan’s beef jerky. Nuff said
-Made potions of lesser healing for first time…Sold them within 2 hours of making them lol
-Saturday night RP...omg. I got married to a mummy? I think? Turns out he was a human healer who was just so uneducated he couldn't speak Common...or anything else. Broke down in tears when Creed suggested to the mummy that I consummate it...most aMAZing RP ever!!!
-Also amusing when Baron Montgomery tried to pull rank over the mummy and say I belonged to him, and the mummy asked if he could watch. Cried in order to hide my laughter…and never holding someone’s hand EVER unless I know what they think it means first
-for NPC shift, me and Rei slathering ourselves down in green Mehron for goblin mod and then black over it for undead...so worth the 45 minutes it took to wash it off
-The look on people's faces Sunday when I walked around with 1G pastries. A gyspy walks in with food...people attack
-Breaking out into Broadway showtunes, Dinsey and other randomness while washing dishes

Lowlights:
-Freezing as usual. It's May, wtf?
-Im also listing getting locked outta my car as a lowlight
-Had to leave early...again. This is going to happen until KR is back in NJ I think
-Going to logistics at 2am on Saturday for my NPC shift only to find that I was scheduled for 2PM, not am -_-;

This weekend was awesome
Friday
-Starting the event off with catching up with Toravisu being as how the dynamic duo was a little distant
-Learning how to use a spear from Cain who did a good job
-Walking along the paths alone due to a confidence boost
RPing with Typhon getting to know a new friend event better
Saturday
-Waking up and making my way to the Inn with Cain and The kitty running into two bores that we needed to fight
-Getting a Little help with teaching Cain intercept from Lord Brightstar "NATURI GET DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!" and being tackled as well THANKS SAM
-Doing some escorting to the Spring Time festival meeting some farmers and talking about crops "Mmmmm.... potatoes"
-Fighting some goblins that surprisingly charged us took me by surprise
-Doing some treasure hunting with Toravisu
-Having the chance to go on high level main mod but decided to help the low level main mod crew due to lack of healers
-Kicking major @$$ during the mod with the pyromaniac goblins good RP to all monsters
-Feeling like Sam when I mauled a goblin and said "take it down" as 3-4 other PC's bumb-rushed the their armless victim
-Moving into the inn and Cain and Oakroot working as a perfect team
NPC shift
Being sent out as Priest of Glom and running into magnus not once but twice
1st time he just got done killing rat monsters I walk up Clapping
"Very good Gentleman we heard that fight all the way in town"
Magnus- "really" as he smiles like we are going to converse
"Yes you would all make fine followers of Glom" as he wastes us
-Getting some good RP with both Magnus and Cinder the 2nd time thanks guys
Being sent out as Gouls and Surprising Draknar By stabbing him through the door that he was behind made my day because he didn't see it comming
Sunday
-Waking up and helping typhon find someone to get his tongue back which ironically my NPC rotted
-RPing more with Erdirck discussing Naturi being destracted by a  kitty *wink wink*
-Learing Eye of the [strike]tiger[/strike] storm finding out not all 4th rank Druidics have a special way to pronounce them
-Fighting the elementals by hiding behind Erdrick and a well placed Nature's Wrath
-RPing with wolfgar about being his spiritual leader and how he should get drunk and wonder around in his skivvies
-Watching people being chased after stealing someones weapons
-Waking Ishima faster than Emar after being the dummy for waylay teach

-Liam the Ninja Assassin. So I come down to Kaldonia where "something" has been bothering everyone and sneaking around for about an hour or two and no one is getting any sleep because of it. I later realized what it was, but only arfter it was too late.

First attempt as im sitting on a log with everyone else, waiting for Oakroot to finish his Commune With Nature:
Liam from the other side of the log, "Assail X Body"
Me: "Resist!"
Liam: "Ninja Vanish."

Second attempt as I'm stepping off the porch and around my cabin:
Liam from the other side of the cabin: "Assasinate!"
Me: "Resist!"
Liam: "Really?!? ...Really?"
Me: "Err, Yup."
Liam: "Ninja Vanish"

Third attempt as I'm putting on my armor to deal with this assassin:
Liam from behind a partitioned curtain in our cabin: "Assassinate"
Me: "umm... Yeah. I'm eating it."
Liam: "Finally."
Me: *collapse*
Fitz leaps inside the cabin and attacks.
Liam: "Ninja Vanish."

-Lord Ardenfyre arriving at 2 minutes and 35 seconds into my critical count to heal me and rumor has it ...from Allisandria?!.

-Paul Yun the Dire Racoon. I dont think I have ever woken up to a more confusing scene. It was chewing on a pair of boots as Misaki tried to get it out of the cabin with food, where it proceeded to break in again, and finally he tried to frighten it away. This ended with 1 dropped Misaki in the disguise of a werewolf, and 1 dead dire racoon. I'm jsut glad i didn't actually have to get out of bed to kill it. Personally my favorite part was, "The taste of swedish fish in my mouth is making the leather boot taste worse!"

-New Bat-Oni, more powerful, more dangerous, more rewarding to defeat. Thanks Vince and Jarret for giving us a challenge even though there was only the two of you. And thanks to Jen for playing the messenger... "itemized" confusion aside.

-Getting through a crowd of people in the Inn who are about to portal, trying to avoid going on said red portal, and then only to have someone grab me by the shoulder at the last second, then suddenly appearing in the inverted tower. Really?

-While on said portal having Erdrick yelling "BAOYU! BAOYU LOOK OUT." I look up to see a big scary demon running right at me and about 10 people chasing it. 

-Feast. Entertaining Tari with my ability to eat pudding with chopsticks.
-Learning Florentine.
-Getting Sleep.

Low-lights:
-30 degrees with windchill in MAY.
-Hill-adonia

-Discussing the... merits of different races and disgusting a few that overheard.  

-VonRitter Business on Friday.

-Goblins almost Alesiter's entire Dryad

-Drega'Mire Hookah-Brunch

-NPCing again

-New position for the Barony

-Hearing about Kwildar practically soloing the undead portion of low-level main mod. They grow up so fast.

-Reading this sentence: "I am a Witch Hunter... so much so, that I will fight in nothing but a bath towel after a shower." I reiterate: They grow up so fast...
