So, for my first ball, EPIC! Thanks everyone who brought food, it was DELICIOUS! Also, Damien, thanks for running the entire thing! I'm sure that was not easy at all!

Ok, now for some highlights...

- Being back in general... I've missed KR so much while at school, and it was nice to be caught up  ;D
- Absinthe booth.  It was an amazing experience and a lot of fun RP, both during and after.
- Being mistaken for Lord Ardentfire at least 10 times.  ??? (it was actually pretty amusing)
- Da's Strongest - It led to some, well, less then conventional RP and was all around fun.
- Singing competition.  I apologize for anyone's ears who had to endure that song, but I wanted to rewrite Battle Hymn of the Republic, and, well, if the opportunity to share presented itself.........  ::)

All in all, thank you everyone who made this event fun, and I hope to see you all soon!

This was my first time PC'ing, and I have to say, I was very happy to meet many of the citizens of Travance. People are generally congenial, and I found that it was easy to make acquaintances. I hope, perhaps, in time I will also make friends.

Highlights:

- The Ribs, the Highlander Truffles, and just about everything else. By Valos, we have some gifted in the culinary arts.

- Having my steak and onions devoured in less than 30 minutes. Feels good to have people appreciate your cooking!

- The Best Game, we were most definitely the best losers. Only team with zero points, I believe! Thank you to my team mates, who we could not have been so great without :)!

- Winning the Story-telling contest. I have to say, the others who told stories had some really good ones. I thought for sure that the story about the winged baby-messiah thing was going to win. I guess getting down on my knees and acting out groveling really did make the difference :)!

- Finding out what a trinket was. Now I just need to sell it!

- Listening to the singing competition. There are truly a great number of talented singers at KR. Those of you who contested, even if you did not win, deserve an award in your own right.

- Watching the procession, various costumes, and the masks. People communicate a lot about themselves with how they acted, and what they wore. My eyes were glued the entire time.

All in all, a great event. I look forward to many more. Thank you to all of the staffers who made it possible, and the players who contribute to such a great world.

Highlights:
- Highlander Truffles are possibly my favorite dessertness
- That story about the winged heart was strange and I still don't get it except for its beauty
- a toasty fire to rest my feet by and good company
- Crazy winning streak at blackjack as long as I didn't touch my chips, the look of disdain from a fellow player after I called for a shuffle, thinking the cards had run low
- Ham and pulled pork, spicy curried veggies
- Amazing costuming from all
- Some great notes and connections made

Lowlights -
- No werewolf game...
- Forgetting my Robe
- One note Saurekraut dish, to much coriander not enough onions
- Putting my foot in my mouth, at least twice
- Getting hassled by a female cop after pulling over to catch a few Zs, not sure if that was real or a dream

-At the beginning, Dr. Maxwell insisting we were one of the pairs to go last "Because it doesn't matter who they are, it matters that they know you are a doctor!"

-My name pronounced correctly when announced. A first! Grats!

-Then half the night people not calling me Ilana but Dr. Darkwood. Curse you Dr. Maxwell!

-I did not really make it to the food in time but the desserts were great! I really wanted to just steal that banana bread all for myself >>

-Entertaining a pair of sylphs most of the evening and teaching them things.

-Meeting Belegchand, plotting with Reiner (sp?), and preparing for future scholarly work.

-Dancing! The line dance is still my favorite /organized chaos

-Hanging out with Dwarves is a lot of fun. Need to do it more often.

Felt good to be Erim again, and I made some new friends both in and out of game. A really wonderful time! Thanks James, the NPCs, and all the cooks!

"Ok we can attack... but if we miss, we'll hit the villagers."
"I'm willing to take that chance!"

Things I am no longer allowed to do in an RPG :
31. The backup trap handler is not whoever has the most HP at the time.
73. Not allowed to name my cudgel Ceremonial Whoopass Stick.
74. My thief's battle cry is not "Run And Live"
