Drega'Room chanting "nerd... nerd... nerd..." right before Matt Calo walks into the room and shouts "PERFECT!" not even knowing what had just happened

This event was incredibly oog hard for me due to losing my keys, but I found them again, massive love, hugs and thank you to Alice forever.
Sending someone out to grab the baronial letters, and having it turn into a massive battle between Pendarvin and the barracks.
Late Night Scary stories mod with Chris Zipeto, Samantha Stassen, and Logan Arkay. We gave the wind and RP point because it was so dramatically appropriate, and we proved just how intense a roleplay session you can have in pitch blackness, with nothing but whispered voices and a few improvised sound effects was amazing. Especially when my NPC proceeded to go pal around with some Paladins after torturing the heck out of two townspeople. Love to you guys for being good sports about it, I never saw two people so happy to get insanities!
A very interesting lesson with Draven and Ketryn. I love Chris for putting me in some really interesting roleplay situations, and learning what sort of person both Draven and Grim are, under certain circumstances.
Playing Orion McBride was a privilege, and i'm glad it made the celt players who saw it as happy as it did. It was really a great month for NPC roles this month for me, between the guy I played during Scary Stories, this fella... and my next Highlight. Thanks for everything, Gene, I'll play roles for you anytime.
Protogrim, Grim-800, the TerminatorGrim, Mechagrim. He was all of these things and more to me. I got a chance to make my relatives and friends IG freak out as they faced an alt-universe version of their brother and leader. The fireworks were a bit hilariously fail, but the roleplay of the PCs, the combat, and the scenes Matt and everyone else set were top-notch. And thank you especially for the Scarf, Jen Calderon. I love how it went from NPC garb, to roleplay tool, to finally a time paradox completion tool.
Every interaction with Atrus was particularly great. They are dark reflections of each other in various ways, and the mix of OOG friendliness and IG awesomeness for Grim and Atrus' interactions makes it a real highlight of all of my weekends.
Saturday was a whirlwind of finding out A: I was going to be commanding the town while we went into the fields of fallow. B: Trying to figure out a tactical plan that would work. C: eating completely alone during feast because, in the end, a commander is always alone. The kind words and support and advice from every experienced person I went to was appreciated.
I will say I loved every aspect of leading the town, from organizing the groups, making sure they had information, to getting scouts out, setting up battle buddies, making the town swear an oath to leave none behind, to walking around the marching town like an angry sheepdog, barking at the stragglers until we all got there more or less in one piece.
The battle itself was great, Jeff, Mary Beth, Joe, and Katie did a faboo job setting up, the rules marshals were on point and helpful (Thanks in particular to gus!) Grim had a wonderful moment of RP where he faced someone he hated dying on the ground, and chose to abide by his word of honor and carry even that man to the healer. It was very intense, especially at the end when the death Knights and other things crashed into the struggling battle line around the healers.
The aftermath was wonderful too, as Grim made his apologies to the dead, Anhil and Alander played it perfectly, grim was sad he didn't know the name of the other casualty. Grim was much like Wellington after waterloo, wandering the field and reflecting the only thing more tragic than a battle won is a battle lost.
Sunday was very nice and chill once Alice found my keys. I had a great time roleplaying with Lord Silverbow and learning some new manuevers from him, as well as teaching others a few things. Ambushing Birgitta in the bar was a wonderful setup, and her turnabout later in the day was brilliant.
I want to give a special thanks to James Jones for sending out the thief who mugged Beardy featherbow, chasing Chris Mack through the woods at my age and managing to catch him was incredibly affirming of grim as a guard and a person. He's a wolf, and he never stops chasing until the hunt is done. It was also a nice moment with Tari as grim said to her, "Do that thing... you know, the thing where you make them not fight." Grim unhappily and angrily realizing the best way to ensure the safety of the town AND the prisoner was to ask the Master of the mages' guild to magic the thief.
Nice job by Duncan, Donald, and Alander dealing with the hobgoblin loan sharks and stuff. It was fun to figure out what was going on, then stand back and let the slightly newer players get the glory of all the buttkicking .
Before I forget, sending the arch devil of Malyc back to the mud with Bran, and our hilariously blood-covered faces afterwards was great. Everyone freaked out until they realized its just how we do when we rage. Labell vs. Edwin was also interesting to grim, particularly since the Cardinal is a galladelian. Well done on Zach for giving us a good fight with the devil, and Elias for providing just the sort of foul maleficarum for grim to blast through the initial spell with a spell cleave, then end the threat with a brutal Slay. I've realized that in some ways tag skills and when i choose to use them are really dictated by roleplay, rather than tactical decisions on my part.
Edmund Patterson gave me a great flash of insight into his personality in the moments after the execution of the traitor Aella and Grim have been separately hunting for almost a year, as Piotr Stanislav, one of the Lord of talenthal finally fell to the sword of Count Winterdark. It was a really interesting and chilling moment.
I loved the makeup for all the undead NPCs, I loved fighting the scaremortals, really, everything was done well at this event.

The event was chock-full of amazingly wonderful moments for me. To start, thank you everyone who helped run this weekend, it was absolutely phenomenal.
In chronological order:
- Creation of the Staff of Syrith.
- Reading the time map, and realizing to which timeline I would definitely go.
- Waking up, realizing the full implications of the Verdranne Blades being gone, and immediately entering a panic attack.
- Unified Tower Mod may have cracked into my top 3 moments ever.
- Meeting the Oracle. Marybeth, interacting with you for that was absolutely phenomenal.
- Fallow research with Mordra.
- Empress Angelica Tellinghast (I told you to let me give them the candy, Goose
)
- Pissing off most of Kaladonia with the impromptu announcement that Keavy had had Bloodtide for too long. Sorry for all that Dani!
- Main Mod was super fun, sticking in the Scholar Hut. Thank you to all the NPCs who kept repeating the scenes. You were exceptionally creepy and wonderful and absolutely amazing.
- Getting to be the Shantytown Shanker and just straight up murder a bunch of NPCs.
- Had my single favorite NPC role afterwards as Cormac MacTinneas. Thank you Zach for giving me this role, and Caelvan, Keavy, and Danny for the great scene. I hope I struck the fear of Arawyn into you all
.
- SO MANY SUNDAY LESSONS, including the Nerdiest Lesson to ever be Nerded. Congrats to the newest Sage (or Pioneer Academic, if you guys prefer).
See you at the December event (in November)!

I had an absolute BLAST at my first event ever!
Some choice memories:
meeting cade and cael and becoming brothers/sisters in NOT dying hahaha! and the somewhat (extremely) questionable leadership of colin. aka "captain"
having my memory stolen by a very sneaky goblin and acting like I didnt know who I was or anyone else (shoutout to my fellow new players who helped me out!)
"Wait WHERE did Sindarion come from?!" "I am everywhere."
Miraculously surviving main mod and reuniting with my group.
"CAPTAIN!"...."VAL!"
"I started talking to you because I figured you needed Visigalis"
what are puns? what is time?
npc-ing as a berserker with a sword more then half my height and a hobgoblin grunt who got shut down before even entering the inn and being a skeleton and all around having a grand ol' time

Oh, added highlight. Helping name a wandering ghost which had no name, and thus peacefully sending it to rest. It was the most Galladellian grim will ever feel.
