Gems

I was wondering where you guys got the gems you use here. I'm going to be needing Gem Phys Reps for this other LARP I'm going to be trying out, but the only things I can find at Craft Stores all have those silver backs to them so you can glue them to things...

I just want to find ones that don't have that silver back and are bigger then a tiny bead...

Micheal's has big bags of polished glass balls for like 2.99 you could also try pet supply shops (some people use polished stones in tanks).

I honestly doubt James will post the place he gets them from, due to the possibility of people just buying them up and flooding the market.

They are however not cheap unless bought in bulk I believe, so you may be happier using the glass decorative gems suggested above.  You could also just search online - you're bound to find plastic gems.

...Why didn't I think of the pet shops, I remember just the other week I was thinking how pretty those crystals are in fish tanks at the pet shop...

Must have missed those at Michaels... I'll figure out which ones cheaper >>

In Micheals here it's in one of the smaller isles near the registers. They have bags of polished glass balls,polished stone,fake plastic coins and all other such treasure noveltys. You might be able to fine plastic ones at a party store aswell. No worries bout not thinking of the pet store thing. Heh sometimes it just a matter of getting another perspective. I'm a firm believer that the most intelligent people don't know all the answers they just know all the abenues to find them .
