OK, so I am new, (one event) and i had borrowed a boffer sword. I am looking to make my own. I have the closed cell foam for around the PVC but where can i find Open Cell foam for the tip, I was at home depot and they looked at me like i had 2 heads asking for open cell. Can I get it at like an AC Moore and is there any brand you recommend for the foam. Thanks for the help folks.

Frost King makes a 2" square strip, 3' long, for AC units that works PERFECT for this stuff.  They sell it at Home Depot.

They pretty much sell the stuff that Geoff suggested at any sort of hardware store.

Craft stores like A.C. Moore have a green foam that works really well for thrust tips and axe heads.
