I had that promo card and just got me into it. I already drafted up my main and alt;
Main: Alphonium; Dryad Healer
Alt: Dolrend; Bedouin Thief (or Spy)
Just looking for some tips trying to make outfits and where to get some brown/green body paint.
I'm looking forward to my first event!

I too play a dryad, and through some tinkering have found a rather effective means of staying green throughout the weekend.
There is a water- activated body paint called paradise. It lays on well and can be slept in with minimal color loss. I make sure to tone it down with some white and green mixed so as not to be mistaken for a goblin (though it still happens) and for the glitter, any glitter that sprays in the hair can be sprayed on skin and stay for awhile. Im also told Ben Nye water- activated works well. just do not use mehron color cups or any liquid or creme makeup for extended wear, it comes off easily and does not lay on the skin evenly. and it makes you break out more.
as far as costuming? find a really big salvation army and/or goodwill. expensive yet worth it? moresca garb. anyways I look forward to meeting you in June and I hope this helps!

Look in the Large womens sections for tunic type stuff. My wife just found an actual Medievalclothes.com Wench skirt for $5
Always look for steins, mugs, goblets, wooden dishes etc.

I second the used clothing store idea for garb, but if you're budget can spend more, there are several players and such associated with KR who make custom clothes, with me being one of them

Just a suggestion - do not tell us that your character is a rogue class.
Can we like, make that a sticky? I'm getting a permanent handprint from all the /facepalms.

I've been back and forth, cause I usually don't play a rogue class, so if I were to be a spy, you'd hear me from a mile away. So I guess I would fare better in the healing category.
EDIT: Oy, I got sidetracked. I can't make it to this June's event because I have my brother's graduation party and my mom's birthday in the same weekend.
I apologize can't make it to June, so for definite, I'll be in July, green skin and all.

The same goes for Anti-Paladins, True Warlocks, Necromancers, and any other similar class where the less known about your goings-on, the better.

Except Anti-Paladins, True Warlocks, and Necromancers are for all intents, will kill you on sight.
Fixed.

In all seriousness... whether your class/profession leans towards a direction or gets a bad rep, best bet is to not let anyone know what you are. Also... there's no rule that says warriors, acrobats, or bards have to be good-aligned.

Please don't be nervous. Be excited. I guarantee you that this group is filled with some of the most wonderful folks that have ever walked into my life. If you are concerned with physical harm beleive me I'm rather fragile and I come home ok every time. If you're worried about fitting in then all I can say is a repeat of what I started saying in this post.

Bar none.

One thing we do ask is that you sign your posts with your Real (OOG) name - that way, we all get to know each other better in real life, not just in the game.

Hey all, this is my best friend of 16 years Andrea, and the very first newblet I'm bringing to the game! Everybody be nice to her!
And be sure to compliment her often on her very nice shoes. I'm sure that will help her feel very welcome and relaxed

NPC of the Month
Bill Hannings as Orion MacBride, Farmstead Memory Crew, and Crystal Benoist as Fallow’s Sorceress
Bill Hannings as Orion MacBride:
This portrayal of the first celt hero was everything that you would want to see as a celt PC. He was the best kind of arrogant, warm and unburdened by the darkness of most Travancian hearts. "Of course I'm a hero!, he seemed to say, "Come, let us drink and be merry and dance with faeries." The best thing about it was seeing the absolute departure from the stoic and brooding Grim. Bill really stepped up to the plate and delivered something that many have never seen him bring before. Well done.
Farmstead Memory Crew:
Jen F. as Gail
Crystal Glynn as the Mother
Lauren Feingold as the Little Sister
Jeff Balla as Mr. FallowAs major NPCs in the Fallow storyline, this group took a new style encounter and managed to capture the interest of the majority of the PCs on main mod. Through their constant roleplay they gave out major details of the Fallow storyline in a reoccurring scene which they practiced for hours before hand. This went on as a backdrop during the combat of main mod. We couldn’t have done it without you all and you have our deep appreciation for making the encounter a bigger success than we had even hoped for.
Crystal Benoist as Fallow’s Sorceress:
As a secondary character among the main mod bosses, Crystal’s sorceress rose up to the RP challenge to make her presence known to all. From her introduction earlier in the day, up to and through the main battle, she did an awesome job!Bill Hannings as Orion MacBride, Farmstead Memory Crew, and Crystal Benoist as Fallow’s Sorceress
