Hi, this is Alphonsus(OOG) aka Alphonium. I'm interested in joining this world of KR. I'm friends with Ninjin, Magnus, and their group.
I had that promo card and just got me into it. I already drafted up my main and alt;
Main: Alphonium; Dryad Healer
Alt: Dolrend; Bedouin Thief (or Spy)
Just looking for some tips trying to make outfits and where to get some brown/green body paint.
I'm looking forward to my first event!

Hello Alphonsus!
I too play a dryad, and through some tinkering have found a rather effective means of staying green throughout the weekend.
There is a water- activated body paint called paradise. It lays on well and can be slept in with minimal color loss. I make sure to tone it down with some white and green mixed so as not to be mistaken for a goblin (though it still happens) and for the glitter, any glitter that sprays in the hair can be sprayed on skin and stay for awhile. Im also told Ben Nye water- activated works well. just do not use mehron color cups or any liquid or creme makeup for extended wear, it comes off easily and does not lay on the skin evenly. and it makes you break out more.
as far as costuming? find a really big salvation army and/or goodwill. expensive yet worth it? moresca garb. anyways I look forward to meeting you in June and I hope this helps!

I constanatly wave the Salvation Army/Goodwill Flag. Look within a twenty mile area of where you live and maybe "Forage once a month just to find "Treasures
Look in the Large womens sections for tunic type stuff. My wife just found an actual Medievalclothes.com Wench skirt for $5
Always look for steins, mugs, goblets, wooden dishes etc.

Hello Alphonium,
I second the used clothing store idea for garb, but if you're budget can spend more, there are several players and such associated with KR who make custom clothes, with me being one of them
I'm somewhat backed up right now between the end of the school year madness, some other commissions and parental health care needs, but being a teacher, I've got a summer's worth of sewing time coming up soon! My goal is to provide KR players with well-made garb at reasonable prices; there's a of folks who wear my garments who I'm fairly confident will vouch for me. If you're interested, feel free to PM me. Thanks.

I unequivocably vouch for the quality the mistress purports I have bought several from "the Seamstress" as well as others. She makes outstanding pieces

I might switch my main and alt characters for my first event so Alphonium will be my alt and Dolrend will be my main.
