Another good way to pick up the accent...watch Rocky & Bullwinkle. Borris & Natasia have great accents. Yes, I'm serious.

If you can learn to do Borat, but without the broken english, you have an accent similar to Romanian.

Don't forget to IDEA, the International Dialects of English Archive. It's in the web links section off the main website. There you'll find people from russian, romania, and ukrane speaking english, but with their native accent. Third link from the top.

Sorry I didn't catch this thread earlier...

When I started I never used an accent. My bad on the RP. Then one event I was hanging out with some gypsies who had great accents, I felt bad and out of place for not trying. So I listened to them and tried to replicate their accents. So hang out with gypsies! You'll pick it up in no time.

Besides, all you have to do is use a lot of "z"s and talk like you have a mouth full of cotton.
