Another thing to keep in mind is that you are allowed to change your character the first few events. So if you choose to play a human scholar your first event, and then decide that really an elven warrior is what you would have more fun playing, than you may simply re-write your character at no penalty.

my name is sean and I may have met you at the con. I think the biggest advise one can get is exactly what Kelly said. Good pair of shoes and lots of socks. An extra blanket in the winter months is a must as well. Other then that red bull/5 hour energy are always helpful. Other then that there will be lots of stuff to do and talk about. So welcome and have fun. See you in November.
