Out of morbid curiosity how does one actually go about using the effect of weilding a weapon with greater telekenisis? Do you need an npc or something?

I'm seconding the question about Greater Telekinesis, while also noting that the Psion needs the weapon skill to manipulate the weapon even though they're not physically touching it.
But the remote is all the way over there!
I'm just saying, there might be something difficult to reach and may require more than getting off the couch and taking a few steps. Maybe it's floating just out of reach. Keep in mind the weight restrictions for each tier of Telekinesis.

You provide your own NPC for greater telekinesis.
The other ranks of telekinesis have all sorts of uses, just are not applicable in combat really

And just like with necromancy, you can't borrow shift NPCs, right?

Another question if I may ask.
While in battle last event my arm was broken in game. I believe it says in the rule book that although you have to throw a spell packet to use some psionic abilities ,for example "stumble", it still is projected as coming from your mind. I was told I couldn't throw spell packets with that arm, but I still fail to see how that would have effected an attack comes from your mind. Was that the correct thing to do?
