New player, saying hello!

Good evening, everyone! Posting to introduce myself - I'm Sean, and the October event will be my first event with the LARP (and first LARP in general). I've already created my character card and such, and have heard wonderful things about the game from friends who've been in it for a while now.

My name's Jeff and I'll be your New Player Marshal this evening--can I interest you in some LARP?

I'm kidding, sort of. Anyway, if you have any questions going into the event, let me know here or on Facebook if you can find me there. If you post it here, other players and Marshals will be able to see it and you'll get a more diverse pool of answers. We also have a couple Facebook groups devoted to questions about costuming; one official (Knight Realms Official Costuming Community), one unofficial (Larpers Costumers Forum). There is also a Facebook group that I started last year and will shamelessly plug (LARP Role-Playing Tips) where people can ask for and/or share acting or role-playing tips.

As someone who's been coming to KR events for about four years now, I can tell you that those wonderful things you've heard, are well-founded, and we're only getting better from here on out.

What I'll say, is that my first six events, I had as many outfits. That said, since you asked nicely, good luck.

And in my first four events, I had just as many characters. Nothing's set in stone until you want it to be! Always feel free to change things up.
