I find it funny that im not the only shmuck who only cares about the 49ers back in their Joe Montana days

Certainly not the only one.  It was always so much fun to watch Montana, Rice and Craig roll over everyone that got in the way.

"This isnt me being delusional and saying they arent a dynasty "

Are they a dynasty?.. I mean yes they have won 3 in recent memory and they get called a dynasty....  but are they really?  WERE those three wins all in subsequent years?... and if they were and someone can give evidence.. to quote 3 consecutive years in which the pats WON the super bowl then I will agree that yes they have/had a dynasty.. and then if the requirements for having a dynasty in a sport is to win the premiere game in that sport 3 seasios consecutively.. then i can think of some other teams that have dynasties as well... ynkees 98,99,00... the devils in tghe early 90's two name but a pair.. anyways Im actually curious to see if the pats currently do fit this aparent qualification of having a dynasty (3 consecutive super bowl wins)

I want the giants to win
I HATE the pats
bellicheck (sp) made a deal with satan to get the pats so many wins

Newsflash...if 3 consecutive Super Bowl wins equals a dynasty then there has not been a NFL dynasty. NFL Dynasty is usually considered if there is four wins in a ten year span. Only the Steelers and 49ers have done this. Now the Cowboys were considered a dynasty of sorts in the 70s because they made it to five super bowls in ten years and came away with two wins. They werea mini dynasty in the 90s when they won three out of four Super Bowls.

The Patiots have won 3 out of the last six Super Bowls and are in another one this year, which would easily give them 4 in ten years.

In Kraft's first 13 seasons in the NFL (1994-2006), no other NFL team won more, or more often, than the New England Patriots. In addition to their many Super Bowl, conference and division championships under Kraft's leadership, the Patriots also earned the distinction as the NFL's winningest franchise since 1994. Entering the 2007 season, the Patriots recorded more victories (144), including playoff victories (15), than any other NFL team and own the highest winning percentages in overall games (.629) and playoff games (.714) in the last 13 seasons.
Few owners in the history of professional sports have experienced the level of success enjoyed by the Kraft family over the last six seasons. In that time, the Patriots have won three Super Bowls, three conference championships and a franchise-record four consecutive division titles. In 2003 and 2004, the Patriots compiled back-to-back 17-2 seasons that were highlighted by consecutive Super Bowl championships. The 34 total victories in a two-year span set an 85-year NFL record. During that time, the Patriots also claimed pro football's consecutive-win records with the longest win streaks in the postseason (10), regular season (18) and with an overall 21-game win streak. Along the way, the Patriots also won 21 consecutive games at Gillette Stadium, the longest home win streak in franchise history.

Consecutive wins is not a necessary element to be a Dynasty.  The cowgirls were a dynasty in the 90's and niners were one in the 80's.

The current patriots set the standard for winning ... until Superbowl XLII.  Go G-men.
