Much as I take great delight on dumping upon those who besmirched my Phils and other sporting teams, (and I do love busting your chops on this, Joe), I must state that there is something about being a fan that unless the ownership does something so appalling (You listening, Norman Bramen?) one continues to root for the team.
I was a Phillies fan in the late 50s and early 60s. I was an Eagles fan through the 60s and 70s as well. It was not easy. Joe will have his day again (probably before those CSA war bonds are ever redeemed, but hopefully, not by much). I say, screw the Islanders, but go Joe. I've felt your hurt.
