Ed McMahn, Farrah Fawcett, and now Micheal Jackson......wow..
I'm especially going to miss Farrah (now where'd I put that poster again?...)
Jeez I'm old.

Despite always the center of controversy, we can not deny the impact that he has had worldwide with his music and showmanship. From the Jackson 5 (and the cartoon show about the adventures of the Jackson 5), to Beat it, to We are the World, to his strange retreat from reality of his later years Michael was, through it all, undeniably a great talent in the world of music, and the definition of a pop icon.
I do not mean to excuse any wrong doing he may have done. I hope that he never did those things he was accused of, for the children's sake. I hope his own children can find a way to live a normal life with out a father and away from the shadow of his father and all the controversy that followed him. In times like these our thoughts go to the recently deceased, for good or for ill, but our prayers need to be for the living, trying to find their way through this time.
