I'm not sure if I should be concerned that you feel the need for personal protection in your home (in which case its far underpowered as most intruders possess firearms and its better to not try to outgun them) or concerned about what you were searching for that resulted in finding this

Except, of course, you are hitting them for 2 and they have a bajillion armor and are severing your limbs. Other than that, its cool. 
Besides a shotgun, which is imjpractical at times, there is nothing like a Luiseville Slugger for home defense.
