Just thought I would share this link... it's a well written article on LAIRE, but it's at Camp Sacajawea, which we all know well.  Perhaps you can get them to come out for a visit...

I counted three people from KR in those pictures.  I know of a number of us that play both games.

I counted about five.

The article was well written, and the pictures gave a positive look on the game. The focus clearly was on what larping is, and how it works, rather then on LAIRE or the people.
