That story is too long to tell here, but I'll be happy to relate it next time I see you. But thanks for reminding me Geoff...  :o

But it's safe to say that I had probably one of the worst experiences - apart from people who have died - of having your wisdom teeth removed.

The real issue that I think will determine how good you'll be feeling afterwards is whether the teeth have grown roots, and if so, if they have descended to the jaw bone. If so, ouchy. If not, you probably won't be that bad off.

Rob's advice about the mouthwash is A+, and I think the rest is hard to anticipate.

Quagz I had the same surgery, my face swelled up like a balloon, was yellow and black for like 5 days. The swelling didn't go down for like 2 weeks.. but i got some nice pain pills out of the deal.
Also, when the meds from the shots wear off.. you're gonna feel like your dead.

I'm sure your pain tolerance is phenomenal and KR doesn't allow head shots.  However, accidents happen and the thought of any type of stray shot hitting your jaw where you have had your teeth pulled doesn't sit well.  I highly suggest some sort of protective gear for your jaw.  Maybe like those padded headgear martial artists wear during sparring.  Sure, its ugly and very OOG, but it might be safer if you insist on coming to game and maybe getting into combat.  If you get to event early enough with one of those, some of the creative folks here could duct tape with some cool looking tape and make it look like some kinda fantasy helmet, maybe.  :-\
