Not talking about acting dumb... I mean if we ever got a stockade, everyone & their mother will look for a reason to put someone in it.  The guard will have their hands full trying to deal with all the bodies of people turning up with notes attached to them saying they broke the law & should be put in the stockade.

It'll be something out of a Batman comic. Hundreds of NPC's (and a few PC's) will be found, beaten & tied up... all of them with notes that they should be put in the stockade.

The stockade will be more popular that the Bloody Stump!

there not that hard to build and it would come in handy for detaining people for at least a little while. Many of the guards don't have hand cuffs (of witch all guards should carry in my opinion) and it is kind of necessary for any medieval town to have one after all they didn't really have community service back then.

And i maybe and this is a strong maybe have a wookworking friend who has one made.     

but of course if i do come in contact with one ill ask before i bring it.
