Has anyone else had trouble with a virus that re-directs their browser to spam sites?
I keep doing searches in Google, and the search results reveal things like Wikipedia, or Snopes, the usual sites, depending on what I'm searching for. But then when I click those links, it's some kind of spammy, questionable site that scares me.
The only reason I ask is, becaause it only started happening since I started going to KR. The guy in the repair shop said that it might be some sites that I've been visiting.
And no ... I know what you're thinking. I haven't been to any weird porn sites.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I take our site's security very seriously - there are weekly scans for malware, viruses, and hacks, and I am fanatic about applying security updates, sometimes TOO quickly...
If you need further help removing it, hit me up on Facebook chat, and I will try to help.

I'm at work now, and my laptop is at home. The more I think about it, I'm actually more worried now that it might be Calimacil, since most of the weird spam sites it's been taking me to were Canadian. [sings "Blame Canada"] I wonder if other Calimacil customers have had a problem. I often check KR and other LARP-related sites from work, too, and none of my work computers seem to have a problem.

Oh well, I figure it out. I may just have to get another virus cleaning.

Thank you, though!

Character of the Month
Alice Anderson as Mother Angeliana
Alice really thrived this month, with her character throwing anyone she interacted with for a loop, even after she had left. The emotional drive she displayed all throughout the week really showed a new side to her, that won't be forgotten so easily. Great job Alice!
Because the WITL had such amazing RP from everyone, it seemed only right that we give more than one PC award...
Jeff B. as Nalick Underhill, John H. as Atrus, and Jenna L. as Hazar
All three of these players showed top-notch performance in three entirely different roles. Jeff really showed his commitment to the Bardic arts and was always able to produce eloquent poems and stories on the spot. John gave a compelling take on his role of the Dark Clergyman, able to withstand the criticisms of the most distrustful townspeople and present his tenants in ways that made people assist his Dark ceremonies who would not have dared set foot on such a site a year ago. Jenna's portrayal of a newcomer from a foreign land, struggling at first with the language barrier, then with the customs of the land, brought a compelling perspective to the event and fueled a lot of great interactions with the players. You all deserve a nod for helping make this weekend amazing for everyone!
