Come one come all it's time to dine, and share a little drink.
In the midst of merriment,  saying things to make us think.
Living in constant dreadfullness, will often hurt your head.
So sip some tea and have a scone, and worry not about undead.
A delicious homemade berry tart, is a famous Londwyn treat.
You must have a bite, take off a load, and rest your weary feet.
There is no time like the present, but sadly we must wait.
Till next we all are in Travance,  to sit down for this lovely date.
We'll talk of gods and magic,  and other tales from our youth.
Let our hair fall down a bit, and mayhap forget a bit of couthe.
To the one who can impress, by unseen rules for the time.
Will win a small token, much better crafted than this rhyme.
So join me all from across the lands,  when the sun is high.
For without whimsy in our lives,  we all would surely die.

I will be hosting a tea party on the twelfth hour of the day on Saturday at the upcoming feast.  I implore you all to attend if you can.  Party being the important word here,  as we'll share stories,  play a few (quite entertaining if I do say so myself) party games.  And hopefully make new friends, and learn a bit about the ones we already have.  While not as impressive as Ming Na,  I will have a decent collection of teas.  Though if any requests are made I'll do my best to attend to my guests tastes.
As you may have deduced from the above limerick there will in fact be a "contest" of sorts going on throughout the affair.   Favors will be given out to those that impress with the party games.  As well as those that impress by an unseen set of rules I shall have.  Who knows,  maybe wearing your hat at the table COULD be a good thing?  The winner will receive a prize.  A token if you will.   Nothing overtly fancy, but at least worthy of your time.

I hope to see you all there,  and if you wish to bring something to add to the table, that is always appreciated.

If my luck is favorable, I will most likely be attending.

Also, forgive me, but I don't believe that lovely poem was a limerick at all.
The limerick packs laughs anatomical
In space that is quite economical,
But the good ones I've seen
So seldom are clean,
And the clean ones so seldom are comical.

That is quite a fine one that you have there.  You are correct to a certain point miss.  Traditionally limericks are 5 lines long.  However there is in fact a rather large collection of much shorter (down to three lines)  and fairly longer (in excess of thirty lines.) limericks that exist.  I just exercised my power of the quill to come up with a, what I felt would be entertaining limerick to invite you all to my party with.  Looking forward to seeing you all there.

It is tough to find
for love or money
A limerick that's clean
and also funny.

I would like to get a head count for my Tea party to know as to how many odds and ends from my wonderful collection of tea sets to bring.  So if you do plan on attending, please send me a personal missive, or tack a note on the wall,  and I will check back frequently.  Obviously I will plan on people suddenly deciding to come.  But it's always so very nice to have a baseline to work with.  Thank you for your time.
