To the people of Travance.

Greetings citizens of Travance,

It has been many moons since I have last traveled to your, nay, our beloved lands.  As only a few had known,  I have been ill for some time, with barely the strength to leave my bedside.  After much care and concern from my friends and family in Londwyn, and the watchful eye of my physician,  (Though I assure you Dr. Maxwell if your reading this, he does not hold a candle to you!) I believe I am well again to travel once more.  Well, I shall stop perseverating on the topic of my poor health, and get to the meat and potatoes.  Provided continued good fortune and a clear road,  I shall be making my reappearance in Travance once more.  That is to say,  if you will see fit to have me.  Thank you for your time,  you all have been missed greatly.

I am glad to hear that you are well enough to travel into Travance once more. It will be very good to see you, we do have much to speak of. Travel safely on your way out of Londwyn.

As a scholar and linguist I am always eager to learn more.  Would you please define "perseverating," and thus contribute to my education.

Of course, Father Edwin!  It would be my pleasure.  Perseverating is to repeat or continue an action or thought, well after the stimulus that had originally provoked the act had occurred.  Since I am no longer as ill as I was,  I felt no reason to continue upon it past my declaration of decent health and my plans to return.
