Professor Cypher, I would like to point out that it is illegal to buy, sell or use poisons without explicit permission by the Baron or a Lord.  Especially something like Death Poisons.  Thus, it would also be illegal for Rudolf to sell one to you by the same Law, unless I am mistaken.  And if so, one of the current members of the Guard or a higher authority by all means may correct me.

As I am unable to make them yet, I would like to purchase an acid bomb.

It is the current stance of the Barony of Travance that unless one possesses a signed Writ of Poison issued by His Grace, Baron William Montgomery and the Surgeon of Travance, Dr. Simon Maxwell, it is illegal to create, sell, purchase, or use any poison.

Penalties for such creation, sale, purchase, or use can vary from fines all the way up to execution.  I suggest you contact the Magistrate of Travance, Master Shen, for specific punishments in regards to specific poisons.

Understood.  So in order to procure an inoculation, then I'm assuming it is entirely up to Dr. Maxwell to acquire the needed poisons.  Thank you very much for clearing up this matter!

I must remind you all that a trip to the Baronial Library will quickly answer any question concerning the law that you may have.  In regards to the request made and the question of what exactly the law says in regards to Poisons and their usage, creation or ownership, I have transcribed below from the law books of Travance.

None shall buy, sell, keep, or use poison, excepting with the explicit sanction of a Lord or the Baron.

Whosoever breaks with this law shall be fined between ten and twenty gold pieces. If the poison is a mortal sort, then the convicted will be publicly executed, will be stripped of all belongings, and upon the decision of the Baron may be exiled or obliterated. If the convicted has broken with this law before, then the convicted will additionally spend from one to three months in the dungeon. If the convicted has broken with this law twice or more before, then the convicted will be publicly executed, will be stripped of all belongings, and upon the decision of the Baron may be exiled or obliterated.

In the case of those seeking inoculation against any poison, I would recommend that one simply refer to the Surgeon Office and allow him to seek the proper writs and paperwork.
