Bat,
This is a noble and worthy cause. Like Caelvan, I may be limited by responsibilities, but I will aid in any way that I can.

For the edification of the public: How will the mission statement of this group differentiate from that of the Baronial Guard?

Very good point Sir Cypher. I was also wondering how this little group is different in ANY way than our current Baronial Guard. It sounds as though you are trying to replace them.
Your intentions, though noble, seem a little off.

Good question. I think the best way to answer it would be to use what smart types call a "thought experiment".
Let's say the Tellmeins were around when Apollo tore through.
The first thing that happens is that Apollo enters Travance. The rank and file guard will attempt to defend the Town but, as happened, were forced to fall back. At that time the job of the Guard will be to engage Apollo and his minions.
Once Apollo leaves, most likely destroying a village or three on the way to whatever hole he dwells in, the Guard will go back to patrolling the proper, mediating disputes among townspeople, and enforcing the laws of the Barony.
This is where our work begins. Remember that there was huge amounts of destruction caused by Apollo. The Guard doesn't rebuild houses, erect temporary shelters, replenish destroyed food stocks, provide for burial and next of kin, help people deal with their grief, and the dozens of other things that, though we try to do, we can do better at. The Guard can't do that. They serve, protect, and enforce the law. They don't rebuild and they don't heal. We do.

Wotcher Mr. Cooper,
If you intend to leverage this "Tellmein" Society to rebuild infrastructure - as would seem to be the case from the manner in which you describe it here - allow me to offer you you my assistance.
In the founding days of a society such as this, I suspect that you may find yourself rich in enthusiasm but deficient in manpower. Depending on the specific objectives you outline for the society, it may be possible to design and build devices to help ease the burden of your work.
I look forward to hearing your plans for the society with great anticipation.

Dear Brother Cooper,
