On a recent expedition to the outlying parts of the proper, a colleague of mine was fortunate enough to discover a substance known as "pure ice essence."
I am interested in obtaining more of this substance, as it appears to be
pivotal to some of my ongoing research. Should you happen to find a sample of the same in amongst your collection of alchemical supplies, please consider contacting me to arrange for a trade - I would be glad to offer you your choice of one of my various gadgets and gizmos (or, if you'd prefer: gold, materials, protective armaments, compounds, calligraphy, or more essences.)
I understand that several similar names have been used to refer to this particular substance: therefore, should you find yourself in possession of a similarly-labelled sample but are unsure as to whether it quite fits the bill, please contact me post-haste, as I'd almost certainly be interested in paying you for it.
